Volunteer

Our school thrives on community involvement!

Whether you have a flexible schedule or can only volunteer occasionally, there are numerous ways to contribute. We encourage all parents to volunteer as much as possible to enhance our students' experience.

Ways to Volunteer

Lunch and Recess Support

Help our staff supervise lunch and recess, ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Volunteers assist with organizing games, encouraging positive interactions, and guiding students back to class on time. Sign up for regular shifts (form below!) or drop by any day by checking in with the front office.

Library Assistance

Volunteer alongside our librarian to help make the library a vibrant, welcoming space. You’ll help students find books, organize and restock shelves, and maintain a tidy, inviting atmosphere for learning and exploration.

Annual Yick Wo Auction

Join the team behind one of our most significant fundraising efforts. Help with planning, gathering auction items, and event promotion. Contact the PTO (form below!) for more information about getting involved.

Panda Chase

Join the team for our annual Panda Chase, an exciting event combining community-building and fundraising. Volunteers help with organizing the race, setting up stations, and cheering on participants.

Classroom Support

Assist teachers with various tasks, from preparing materials to helping with small group activities. Volunteers might organize books, help set up activities, or even assist during class projects and field trips, providing invaluable hands-on support for teachers. Connect with your child’s teacher or Room Parent.

Become a Room Parent

As a Room Parent, you’ll assist your child’s teacher with communications, field trip planning, and classroom activities. This role is a great way to stay connected to your child’s class while supporting the teacher directly.

Garden Assistance

Help nurture our school garden! This involves tasks like planting, weeding, watering, and planning hands-on gardening sessions for students. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping our outdoor learning space engaging and educational.

Welcome Committee

Help new families feel at home by joining the Welcome Committee. You’ll greet new parents, share resources, and answer questions, fostering a welcoming, inclusive community.

How to Get Involved

We welcome volunteers with all kinds of backgrounds and skills! Whether you speak English as a second language, love baking, have experience applying for grants, enjoy creating signs and banners, or prefer tasks you can do from home, there’s a place for you here.

Just fill in the form below with your interests, skills, and availability, and our Volunteer Coordinator will connect you with a role that’s right for you.
